We encourage SLAC personnel to be familiar with policies about tampering with telephone cables/equipment, service turnaround times, personal calls, international calling, monitoring for phone abuse.*

Emergency communications systems provides a means of notifying proper authorities that an emergency exists, alerts emergency response personnel, and provides tactical communication between various units responding to the emergency. The communication system includes telephone, paging, radio, alarm, data systems, and runners.
Here are procedures for using and testing communications equipment used by SLAC's emergency organization. Future items will discuss planning for emergency communications in your department or building and tips for all SLAC personnel who need to communicate in emergency situations.
