Flag amendment: How Senate voted

The 66-34 roll call by which the Senate rejected a constitutional amendment to allow Congress to ban flag desecration. The vote was one short of the two-thirds majority needed.

A "yes" vote was a vote for the amendment.

Voting "yes" were 52 Republicans and 14 Democrats.

Voting "no" were 30 Democrats, 3 Republicans and one independent.
