Lagendijk Marries Turkish Journalist
Turkey-EU Joint Parliamentary Commission Co-chair Joost Lagendijk was married to Turkish NTV journalist Nevin Sungur in Istanbul at the Pera Palace by Beyoglu Mayor Ahmet Misbah Demircan.

His friend Ad Van Bremen accompanied Lagendijk as a witness for the wedding while Seda Zobaroglu was Nevin’s witness.

Sungur Lagendijk said that she was very excited and happy, adding that they did not have any intentions to marry at first. Lagendijk said that both he and Nevin were getting married for the first time.

Zaman Daily's Executive Editor-in-Chief Ekrem Dumanli, Cumhuriyet newspaper journalist Oral Calislar, Milliyet journalist Derya Sazak, Bugun newspaper journalist Cengiz Candar, Democratic Community Party (DTP) Leader Ahmet Turk and Deputy Chief Sirri Sakik also attended the wedding ceremony.
