Iran, Zimbabwe Ink MoU on Tourism Cooperation

TEHRAN (FNA)- Iranian tour operators signed a memorandum of understanding with the Zimbabwe Tourism Authority and Inbound Tour Operators Association of Zimbabwe to market the two countries' tourist destinations.

The signing of the memorandum of understanding follows a five day tour of the country's resort centers by Iranian tour operators.

This understanding comes as a first step in fostering relations between the Iranians and local tour operators in the promotion of the tourism industry.

Zimbabwe Tourism Authority Chief Executive Karikoga Kaseke said local tour operators should take this development seriously for the prosperity of the industry.

Inbound Tour Operators Association of Zimbabwe Chairman Tich Mudzonga said local tour operators will dedicate their efforts in addressing their weaknesses for the good of the industry.

Iran's Ambassador to Zimbabwe Rasol Momeni said the memorandum of understanding singed among stakeholders is a better platform for Zimbabwe operators to market the country as a preferable destination.

The Iranian delegation arrived in Zimbabwe last Wednesday.
