Iran, Tanzania Sign MoU on Defense Cooperation

TEHRAN (FNA)- Iranian defense minister and his Tanzanian counterpart inked a Memorandum of Understanding here yesterday to bolster cooperation between the two countries.



Brigadier General Mostafa Mohammad Najjar and Hussein Mwiny after meeting for a second time in Tehran emphasized strengthening of defense ties and International stability.

Sharing defense and military experiences and exchanging experts in technical and training fields constitute the contents of the Memorandum of Understanding.

Earlier, Iranian defense minister had voiced Tehran's preparedness to transfer military technology to Tanzania.

Najjar welcomed expanding of all-out ties, pointing to strategic position of Tanzania in West Africa.
