"Rostam and Sohrab" is a tragedy from the Persian epic masterpiece (Shahnameh) which narrates the tragic story of a fight between two heroes, Rostam and his son, Sohrab.
The drama director and writer Samira Sinaee, who has been living in Hungary for years, said she likes to introduce Shahnameh composed by Iranian great poet, Ferdowsi, to the people of Hungary since the precious work has been translated to Hungarian, the Iranian students news agency reported.
The drama will be narrated in both Persian and Hungarian languages.
Three Hungarian artists are cooperating in the stage show, one who is a Hungarian narrator describes the story, the other helps the group in rhythmical motions while the third portrays in the drama.
Sainaee, the drama's costume designer, also acts in the stage show. She said that the performance is a mixture of theater with video projection system.
The production, the group's first performance, will be staged twice on January 26 and 27 in Tehran and then in Hungary.
