The event will continue for three days at the Foreign Ministry's Institute for Political and International Studies.
Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) consists of ten West and Central Asian countries and Planning Council is one of the pillars of the entity.
The council consists of heads of planning organizations or parallel ministries which holds a session at least once a year before the annual meeting of the council of ministers.
Regional Planning Council adopts the basic policies and strategies as well as programs of ECO based on the objectives enshrined in Izmir Treaty and guidelines of council of ministers.
Specialized topics of the council will be pursued under six committees of commerce and investment, transportation and communications, human resources and sustainable development, regional centers, specialized agencies and international relations, energy, mines and environment, industry and agriculture and projects, statistics and economic researches.
The meeting will end on Wednesday.
