Iran's Kish Island Hosts 2nd International Investment Fair

TEHRAN (FNA)- Iran's southern Island of Kish is host to the second international investment fair with the presence of Iranian major figures for investment and ambassadors of 13 countries.



Kish Free Zone Organization's Deputy for economic affairs and investment Abul Hassan Sarshar highlighted investment's significant role in Iran's economic growth and said spending money is a way to boost capabilities and potentials.

Iran's rich physical and financial resources, strategic position and closeness to various markets have made required investment condition available, he said at the fair's opening ceremony, the Iranian students news agency reported.

The closeness of the southern island to strategic energy centers of the country and convenience of foreign exchange transactions in the area are among advantages for investment in the Iranian territory, he continued.

Sharshar then said tourism and trading are the two main sections for investment, while the southern island possesses other capabilities in industrial, scientific and educational fields.

The low expenses for exporting goods specifically industrial ones is a good chance for investment, he said adding Kish Free Zone Organization supports investment in all sections.
