France Ready to Promote Ties with Iran

TEHRAN (FNA)- French President Nicolas Sarkozy in a meeting with Iran's new ambassador to Paris on Monday announced his country's preparedness to promote ties with Iran.



Sarkozy referred to Iran-France good relations, and laid emphasis on holding talks with Iran in a positive atmosphere.

On his part, Iran's new Ambassador to Paris Mehdi Mir-Aboutalebi, who presented his credentials to Sarkozy during the meeting, said Iran is ready to foster relations with France regarding the two countries' common interests.

The two countries have the potentials to promote mutual cooperation in political, economic and cultural fields.
