MP Reiterates Successful Test-Firing of Sejjil Missile

TEHRAN (FNA)- An Iranian lawmaker here Friday ruled out claims that Iranian surface-to-surface "Sejjil" missile test-fire had not been successful.

First vice-chairman of the parliament's National Security and Foreign Policy Commission Esmaeel Kowsari said, "Had the missile test-fire not been successful, why certain people show so much sensitivity?"

"Certain people wish to portray any of our scientific and technical achievement as unsuccessful and that's not the first time they do so," the Islamic republic news agency quoted Kowsari as saying.

Iran's Aerospace Organization, affiliated to Ministry of Defense, on Wednesday managed to successfully test-fire new generation of the surface-to-surface missiles, called `Sejjil.' Certain US officials however try to raise suspicion over the successful test-firing.
