TEHRAN (FNA)- Iranian theater director Mehdi Farajpour is set to write a play based on the life and works of the French playwright Antonin Artaud.
The play will be produced in collaboration with a group of French artists, including Francois Sardi, who will help Farajpour with sound effects.
"The play will give a general view of Artaud's ideas and poems, exploring the different aspects of his life including his psychiatric hospitalizations," the Iranian students news agency quoted Farajpour as saying.
Mehdi Farajpour has staged numerous plays around the globe including the solo performance Confession, which he staged at the 2008 international street theatre festival in Poland.
He has also directed and choreographed a solo dance-theatre called Beckett, based on the Irish dramatist Samuel Beckett's Krapp's Last Tape.
