Portuguese Int'l Short Film Fest Screens Iranian Films
TEHRAN (FNA)- "Rough Cut" by Firouzeh Khosrovani and "Cyanosis" by Rokhsareh Ghaem-Maghami are due to be screened in the Fike International Short Film Festival in Portugal.
The running time of "Rough Cut" and "Cyanosis" are respectively 22 and 31 minutes.
Cyanosis recounts the story of a lonely Iranian painter Jamshid Aminfar and his love for a French woman.
According to the Iranian students news agency, the 31-minute production has taken part in many international festivals and received the Silver Nanook award of Russia's Flahertiana International Documentary Film Festival and a Certificate of Merit from Finland's 38th International Tampere Film Festival.
The festival running from November 21 to 29 in Evora showcases a large number of the best short films across the world each year.
The Portuguese director Manoel de Oliveira has been honored as FIKE festival was kicked off.
The event will eventually screen 54 films in its two competitive sections.
Also the festival's Food Special Section will show short films of Portuguese, French, Australian and Spanish cinematographers.
