Iranian Musicians to Honor 1906 Constitution

TEHRAN (FNA)- Iran's Nations Orchestra is set to hold a concert to commemorate the anniversary of the proclamation of the 1906 Iranian constitution.

Conducted by the acclaimed musician Peyman Soltani, the orchestra will perform music pieces from Iran's Constitutional Era.

"Renowned German composer Cord Garben and a number of international musicians may also join the program," press tv quoted Peyman Soltani as telling CHN.

Iran's Nations Orchestra (Melal Orchestra) has also performed in the Italian capital of Rome and the 22nd summit of the International Council of Museums (ICOM) in Vienna, Austria.

The 1906 Constitution, which was the result of the Iran's Constitutional Revolution, has five chapters and numerous articles that were developed over several years.

Mozzafar al-Din Shah Qajar declared the constitution "for the peace and tranquility of all Iranians" on August 5, 1906.
