Iran Condoles Death of Hamas Interior Minister

TEHRAN (FNA)- Iranian Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki on Friday sent a message of condolences to the Palestinian nation on the martyrdom of Hamas Interior Minister Saeed Seyyam by Israeli forces.

Seyyam, his brother, and his son were martyred on Thursday in an Israeli air strike on Jabalya refugee camp four kilometers north of Gaza City.

Mottaki stated that after 21 days Israel has achieved none of its military goals due to heroic resistance by Palestinians against the Zionist regime's relentless air, ground and sea assaults.

The Zionist regime has become "desperate" and it is now following a policy of murdering prominent Palestinian figures in order to cover up its "successive defeats" and to improve the "poor morale" among its soldiers, MNA quoted him as saying.

According to the report, he also called the murder of Saeed Seyyam a "clear breach" of the international law and strongly condemned Israel for resorting to such "savage approaches".
