Iran Serious to Suspend Israeli-Linked Companies

TEHRAN (FNA)- An official in Iran's Industries and Mines Ministry said the organization seriously pursues suspension of companies in Iran which are suspected of link to Israel indirectly through mid-men or front companies.

Iran's cabinet has issued a bill Sunday evening which imposes an economic blockade on companies linked to Israel or those with Zionist investors.

All Iranian industries and mines organizations, industrial studies centers and companies affiliated with Industries and Mines Ministry have been obliged to detect these firms and end, suspend or restrict their activities in terms of rules and regulations, Hossein Abuei Mehrizi added according to the Iranian students news agency.

No Zionist company is working in Iran directly, he said adding activities of those firms working in Iran indirectly with Israeli shareholders will be perused according to documentations and meticulous information, he said.

The move is in line with Iran's solidarity with Palestinians and giving a response to Israeli recent crimes in Gaza, the official added.

The action seeks undermining Zionists' economy, trade and industry, preventing employment of countries particularly Muslim ones' capabilities by Israel and its sponsor, Mehrizi noted.

The Iranian official also called for Islamic countries to follow Iran's measure, limit Israel's economic and industrial activities in their countries to collaborate in aiding the oppressed Palestinians.

One week ago, the Iranian ministry made it clear for all of its related sections that all production and distribution activities of those companies suspected of being linked to Israel need to be suspended until the final decision by authoritative sources.
