Judiciary Chief Asks for UN Serious Intervention in Gaza Conflict

TEHRAN (FNA)- Iran's Judiciary Chief asked the UN Secretary General to seriously and immediately intervene in Gaza conflict and prevent more civilians to end up dead.

Ayatollah Mahmoud Heshemi Shahroudi in a letter to Ban Ki-moon has emphasized the Secretary General must fulfill his duty and respond to the world's people expectations regarding achievement of international justice, the Iranian students news agency reported.

He then asserts the Security Council is also responsible to take an action as soon as possible to stop Israel from continuing murder of innocent Palestinians.

The Security Council must found a verification committee on Gaza issue to trace the truth and then appeal the case to the International Criminal Court to try the war criminals of Tel Aviv, he added while condemning the council for its inactive and submissive role in this regard.
