Ahmadinejad Congratulates Mashaal on Victory

TEHRAN (FNA)- Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, in a phone talk on Monday, felicitated Hamas politburo chief Khaled Mashaal on the victory of Palestinian resistance in the war against the Israeli regime.

"Today is the beginning of victory and it completes the chain of the (Palestinian) resistance victory" Ahmadinejad told the Damascus-based Mashaal.

The Iranian president further urged the Islamic governments to exert pressure for full Israeli withdrawal from Gaza and prosecution of the "Zionist criminals".

He pointed out that a pull out of the occupying troops, the lift of the siege on the Palestinian coastal area and opening of Gaza border crossing set the prelude to complete victory.

"Today laying pressure for the full Israeli withdrawal, bringing Zionist criminals to trial and cutting off contacts with fake Zionist regime and boycotting its products by Islamic countries will make the victory complete."

"The people of Iran will side by the Palestinians people and government to the end," Ahmadinejad reiterated.

Mashaal, for his part, stressed that Israel did not achieve to any of its goals.

"Resistance will continue until complete withdrawal (of the Israeli troops) and removal of the siege," Mashaal said.

He praised the support extended by Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei and the people to the Palestinian resistance and oppressed people.
