Ahmadinejad Lambasts UN Resolution on Gaza

TEHRAN (FNA)- Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad on Saturday issued a tirade on the UN Security Council resolution on Israeli attacks in Gaza and some Arab countries' silence in this regard.

"They must not presume that their silence devastates resistance and dignity of nations they must realize that this silence only puts an everlasting blemish on their forehead," Mahmoud Ahmadinejad addressed Arab and Islamic countries.

He then touched on Egypt's attitude towards Gaza issue, saying "Egyptian government must announce its stance as soon as possible and clarify its nation's relation with the issue."

The Organization of Islamic Conference has been founded to support Palestine but "I wonder why it is silent and does nothing regarding these crimes," he said according to the Iranian students news agency.

"The United Nations is summarized in the Security Council, the council is summarized in the United States and the United States is summarized in supporting the Zionist regime," he said adding "the United Nations headquarters must be relocated, we are ready to allow this organization to work in Iran without any impositions."

The Security Council resolution on Gaza issue was nonsense and it is not clear who is responsible for this resolution, he said.

The Zionist regime is founded on the basis of Arrogance and exploitation and its aim is not just creating a base in heart of Arab and Islamic region but to dominate the region and the world, he noted.

Some say Israeli incursions against Gaza is aimed at compensating for its failure in face of Hezbollah in 2006 war but it just increased the world's hatred towards Israel, he explained.

Other believe that the Israeli attacks seeks to increase the crimes and raise emotions in the world so that Barack Obama can interfere and condemn the measures and pose a human rights gesture to rectify the US image in global public opinion, he continued.

President then said those who backed Tel Aviv in its crimes will be tried alongside its leaders in the future and recommended a boycott on Israeli goods by other nations would be effective in reining the regime.

He then urged influential Arab and Islamic countries to severe ties with the Zionist regime before it can increase influence in their states.
