MP Urges Obama to Reconsider View on Israel

TEHRAN (FNA)- An Iranian Parliament deputy on Thursday urged the US President Barack Obama to make a revision on issues related to the Zionist regime and its hostility against the Palestinian people.

"If the United States failes to change its policies on the Zionist regime, it will portray an inappropriate image of Obama's administration among all countries, Muslims in particular," a member of the Parliament National Security and Foreign Policy Commission Hamid-Reza Haji-Babaei told the Islamic republic news agency in this western provincial city.

He added, "If the US continues its support for Israel and its criminal officials, it will definitely face strong positions by other countries."

The parliamentarian warned Obama that world nations, particularly the Palestinians and Muslims, would condemn him if he continued US policy to support acts of the Zionist leaders.

Recommending the President Obama to adopt US policy towards the Zionist regime with caution, the MP said, "President Obama should express his clear position on the crimes committed by the Zionist regime in the Gaza Strip."

"Otherwise, the US new administration should be waiting for strong positions from the leaders and nations of those world countries, Muslims in particular, that support the Palestinians," Haji-Babaei said.
