Rutemoller believes that Iran has the potential to qualify to the World cup 2010
"Although it is too early to comment on Iran's qualification chances given my short stay in the country, I believe that Iran fully deserves to be in the World Cup", Rutemoller told the reporters in Tehran.
"Iranian players are in good physical shape. At the moment our trainings are mostly physically and technically oriented, but we are going to work on tactical issues in the coming days", the ex-DFB head instructor said at the end of today's training session.

Javad Nekounam and Masoud Shojaei of Osasuna and Vahid Hashemian of Vfl Bochum were granted to stay with their clubs instead of travelling to Iran to play against the Asian minors.
Mehdi Mahdavikia (Eintracht Frankfurt), Andranik Teymourian (Fulham FC) and Ferydoon Zandi (Alki Larnaca) had not been invited from the beginning.
While the first had been allowed to join his club's training camp, the latter two just recently recovered from injuries.
UAE based Mehrzad Madanchi will be the only legionnaire present for the match.
