"Since people go to these salons more than other public places we decided to equip them with bookcases filled with small books in order to save people's time while they are waiting," Divandarreh governor Abdolsalam Karimi mentioned during a session last week, MNA reported.
As young people are the main costumers of the barbershops and beauty shops, the books selected must be about subjects that they are interested in, he added.
"By selecting appropriate books and subjects, we can also guide the Iranian younger generation's tendencies toward Western fashions and models," he mentioned.
Located in Kordestan Province, Divandarreh is a mountainous region located at the distance of 95 km of north of Sanandaj.
