TEHRAN (FNA)- Iran's visiting Deputy Health Minister Mir Mohammad Sadiqi conferred with UAE Minister of Health Humaid Mohammed Obeid Al Qattami over bilateral ties and ways to enhance the two countries' cooperation in the field of health.
Health Ministry Director General Ali Ahmad Bin Shukr and other officials attended the meeting held at the ministry's office in Dubai.
Al Qattami expressed the keenness of his ministry to activate relations with its counterparts in the region and to exchange expertise with them in the related field, so as to improve medical and healthcare services to the people and to eradicate diseases and epidemics from the region.
Alluding to the deeply-rooted relations between Iran and the UAE, the minister said that there are wider horizons for cooperation between the two countries in the field of health and medical education.
Sadiqi expressed satisfaction over the fruitful and distinctive cooperation between Iran and the UAE.
He also briefed the minister on the medical education at Shahid Beheshti Medical Science University, and extended an invitation to the minister to visit the university.
