Attending the 2nd national conference of software exports development, Mehdi Ghazanfari said that TPOI has put the issue on top of its agenda, Tehran Times said citing a report by the state-run tv.
He dubbed electronics and software as "green industry", noting that the industry's global trade stands at $440 billion per annum.
The official predicted that the country's software exports to touch $60 million in the current Iranian calendar year (to end March 20, 2009).
Uzbekistan, Afghanistan, the Dominican Republic, Canada, Germany, the UAE, Malaysia, Tajikistan, Mexico, and Zimbabwe are the main target markets for Iranian software products.
