In the inauguration ceremony, Iran's Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance Mohammad Hossein Saffar Harandi and his Syrian counterpart Riad Na'asan Agha as well as Iran's Ambassador to Syria Ahmad Mousavi and a number of Iranian and Syrian scholars were present.
The exhibition is being held in the framework of Iran's cultural week in Syria and continues until Thursday, the Islamic republic news agency reported.
Hundreds of books concerning late Imam Khomeini and Supreme Leader Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei works, thoughts and character as well as books concerning poetry, history, dictionary, nature, and geography have been displayed in the exhibition.
A number of Iranian artists, mainly women, have also presented their works in the exhibition.
