TEHRAN (FNA)- Iranian filmmaker Akbar Nazemi's award-winning Unseen Devotion is to participate in Berlin and Chicago international film festivals.
The 25-minute documentary depicts the mourning of Muslims on the 10th day of the Islamic month of Muharram, Ashura, which marks the martyrdom of the third Shiite Imam, Hossein (PBUH), and his followers.
Unseen Devotion received The Jury Special Award of the 2008 Miami Short Film Festival. It was also nominated for the Best Short Documentary of the festival, press tv reported.
Nazemi's production has been screened in the US and Canada and is also set to be screened at the second Ashura Image Conference, which will be held from Dec. 27 to 29, 2008 by Iran's Documentary and Experimental Film Center (DEFC).
