TEHRAN (FNA)- Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad inaugurated an aluminum anodes producing plant in the southern port city of Bandar Abbas on Friday.
After inaugurating phases 9 and 10 of the South Pars gas field in Asalouyeh Energy Zone in southern Iran, Ahmadinejad opened the aluminum plant with the production capacity of 200,000 tons of raw anodes and 70,000 of baked anodes annually.
When put in operation, the 51-million-Euro plant will create 113 jobs for the people of Bandar Abbas in Hormozgan province near the Persian Gulf.
Ahmadinejad arrived in the province from the neighboring Bushehr province to inaugurate five major industrial and construction projects.
The President had in his previous tour of Bushehr Province inaugurated Jam Petrochemical Facility in February and the SP phases VI, VII, and VIII in September.
President Ahmadinejad is accompanied by Ministers of Oil Gholam Hossein Nozari and Industries and Mines Ali Akbar Mehrabian in the daylong tour of Assalouyeh and Hormuzgan Province.
