Making the remarks while addressing a gathering of students in a Tehran University, he said Iran was the only world country which was strongly opposing American unilateralism and militarism and said Iranian authorities adopted such positions upon deep reflections and studies.
He said things would have definitely been different had Iran behaved in a different way towards issues pertaining to Lebanon, Palestine and Iraq, the Islamic republic news agency reported.
The speaker further pointed to Iran's persistence on its basic strategic positions and said a behavior, though entailing certain problems, will have many benefits for the country.
