Iranian Mountaineers Climb Up Mount Kala Patthar

TEHRAN (FNA)- A three-member team of Iranian mountain climbers, who are residing in the northeastern Khorassan Razavi province, ascended Mount Kala Patthar (5,550 meters) in Nepal.

Kala Patthar is located in Nepalese Himalayan range of mountains. It appears as a big brown bump below the impressive south face of Pumori.

Many mountaineers attempt to conquer Kala Patthar, since it provides the most accessible point to view Mount Everest from base camp to peak, a report by the Islamic republic news agency said.
