Omani FM Due in Tehran Tomorrow

TEHRAN (FNA)- Omani Foreign Minister Yusuf bin Alawi bin Abdallah is scheduled to visit Tehran on Tuesday.

During his sojourn in Tehran, Bin Alawi is due to meet Iranian Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki and exchange views on bilateral relations and international and regional issues.

Omani Ambassador to Tehran Yahya Al-Oreimi recently met Mottaki and presented Bin Alawi's letter to him.

Mottaki visited Masqat in March and held talks with his Omani counterpart and the country's king Qaboos bin Said al-Said.

Iran has had the most intimate relations with Oman in the past 30 years, Mottaki said during his visit to the Arab Persian Gulf state.

In his previous meeting with Mottaki, Omani foreign minister referred to the key role of Iran in the region and appreciated Tehran's efforts to solve the region's problems.
