"We have not come to Latin America to sell goods and come back (to our country) but we have come here to perpetuate our cooperation," Iranian Foreign Ministry Director General for South American affairs Ahmad Sobhani told FNA in Caracas.
Although Iran is not politically moving in the same direction picked up by certain Latino states, Tehran's cooperation with them in technology, nanotechnology and biotechnology continues, Sobhani reiterated, adding that they are eager to expand mutual cooperation with the Islamic republic.
"Despite enemies' efforts to link Iran's name with atomic bomb and terrorism and… today Iranian industries, including tractor manufacturing, have gained good fame in Latin America," he pointed out.
Elsewhere, he referred to the position of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Venezuela and said, they pattern Iran in many cases of their industry.
The senior diplomat further pointed out that Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad is due to visit the country soon to inaugurate some of the Iranian firms' projects.
