Shajarian unveiled his new string instruments Bam Sorahi, Saghar and Kereshmeh to reporters at Del Avaz institute on Saturday.
According to press tv, Bam Sorahi, which is similar to the violoncello, resonates a lower-pitched sound in comparison with Shajarian's earlier invention, Sorahi.
"Saghar is similar to the Tar, but produces a different tone and is still being tested," said Shajarian.
"Kereshmeh is close to the lute family, but it has a different form and the strings have been changed," said the 69-year-old vocalist.
Shajarian also introduced a new percussion instrument which is covered by skin on both sides and produces a sound similar to that of Daf and Dohol.
Iran's legendary vocalist, Mohammad Reza Shajarian received UNESCO's Mozart Medal in 2006 and the prestigious Golden Picasso Medal in 1999.
