Greece Urges Expanding Parliamentary Ties with Iran

TEHRAN (FNA)- Spokeswoman of the Greek parliament's Defense and Foreign Affairs Committee voiced her country's enthusiasm for the consolidation of parliamentary ties and cooperation between Tehran and Athens.

Speaking in a meeting with Iran's Ambassador to Greece Mehdi Honar-Doust on Monday, Kanellopoulou Krinio praised the two countries' rich civilization and culture for the growing ties between the Islamic Republic of Iran and Greece, specially in recent years.

The Greek lawmaker further called on both sides to make an optimum use of the proper grounds existing for the promotion of bilateral ties and cooperation in all the various fields.

The Iranian envoy, for his part, said expansion of parliamentary ties would pave the way for further enhancement of Tehran-Athens all-out relations.
