Iranian and international directors will show their productions in the event's Competition, Experimental, International, Children and Young Adults, Review, Street Plays, Passion & Ritual Plays and Radio & Television Plays categories, press tv reported.
The festival will also hold a play-writing contest and a photograph and poster exhibition with the theme of religious theater.
The event's research section invites academics to submit their papers on Razavi Culture (related to the eighth Shiite Imam, Imam Reza), Life and Thought of Religious Figures, Religious Historical Events and Their Effects on Contemporary Human Life.
After six years of national conduct, this will be the first time that the Razavi Theater Festival is held at an international level.
Iran's seventh International Razavi Theater Festival will be held in Nov. 2009 in the capital city of Tehran and the northeastern city of Bojnourd in Khorasan Razavi Province.
