TEHRAN (FNA)- Iranian and Indonesian cultural officials asked on Sunday for international solidarity among Muslims.
Head of Iran's Culture and Islamic Relations Organization Mehdi Mostafavi and Indonesian Religious Affairs Minister Muhammad Maftuh Basyuni called for Muslims' unity.
The two made the remarks in a meeting held in Tehran attended also by Secretary-General of the World Assembly for Proximity of the Islamic Schools of Thoughts Ayatollah Mohammad Ali Taskhiri, the Islamic republic news agency reported.
Mostafavi underlined that the power equation in the world would materialize through spirituality not weapons.
The Indonesian minister, for his part, said that Muslims of the world should get united in order to maintain Islamic dignity and achievements in the scientific spheres.
Mostafavi visited Indonesia, heading a cultural-religious delegation, since March 3 and attended the 1st Iran's Culture Week in Jakarta.
During his visit to Jakarta which took place at the invitation of Indonesian Minister of Culture and Tourism Jero Wasic, Mostafavi inked a three-year-long agreement on religion and science with him.
