Frattini: Italy to Send Envoy to Iran for Talks Soon

TEHRAN (FNA)- Italian Foreign Minister Franco Frattini said on Friday that Italy will soon send a special envoy to Tehran to examine ways and means of Iran's contribution to Afghanistan security.

Frattini said Director of the Asia-Pacific Department at Italian Foreign Ministry Atilio Massimo Yanochi will travel to Iran in the near future as Italian special envoy, the Islamic republic news agency reported.

He said while in Iran, Yanochi will hold talks with Iranian officials on the meeting of foreign ministers of the G8 states.
