Iran Ready to Start Gas Pump to Switzerland

TEHRAN (FNA)- Iranian Deputy Oil Minister for International Affairs Hossein Noghrehkar Shirazi said on Tuesday Iran is ready to start gas pump to Switzerland as soon as Bern-Ankara agree on gas delivery through Turkey.



Iran is to transfer gas to Europe and Switzerland in two phases, he said.

Iran is studying different projects for gas export to Europe, he told the Iranian students news agency, adding that having conducted the examinations, Iran determines which option is more practical in terms of transport roads and the investment of the countries located along the path.

Noghrehkar Shirazi said Iran's geographical position has made a good chance for the country to attract investments, adding Iran along with Russia and Qatar stands as one of the world's energy poles.

The three states enjoy 67 percent of the whole energy resources of the world, he said adding Iran holds a strategic position since connected to Caspian and Oman seas.
