Israeli media reported an overnight launch of a barrage of home-made rockets from Gaza, targeting the Beersheba area, the town of Ashkelon and the Eshkol region.
Israel Radio said that rockets also landed near the towns of Netivot and Ofakim, press tv reported.
The rocket attacks, often causing more fear among Israelis than any noticeable casualties or damage, are seen as the only response the Palestinian resistance groups afford against Israel.
This, however, has been giving Tel Aviv officials good headaches as the well-equipped Israeli army fails to stop such firings from Gaza, where 13 days of airstrikes and gunship fire has drawn mounting protests worldwide.
Israeli army has killed at least 710 Palestinians, mostly civilians, and wounded over 3,100 others since it launched the attacks against the Gaza Strip in hopes of dismantling Hamas.
The Israeli regime has so far rebuffed several international peace proposals.
