Iran Disbands Opposition Cell Affiliated to Britain

TEHRAN (FNA)- A Britain-affiliated opposition center running anti-Islamic Republic propaganda was identified and seized by Iran's security forces in the southern province of Hormozgan on Sunday and all those in charge of the center were arrested.

The center compiled, produced and edited footages of the speeches made by the Iranian opposition group leaders inside and outside the country and distributed them in high numbers in the form of CDs, video tapes, books and pamphlets.

Sources said that the illegal center aimed to stir religious-ethnic strife between Iran's Shiite and Sunni Muslims in a bid to spark insecurity in the southern parts of the country.

The head of the center is suspicious of having relations with certain anti-revolutionary satellite channels and receiving financial aids from Britain.

Tehran has repeatedly accused he West of stoking religious strife and unrests in Iran, singling out Britain and the US for meddling.
