Speaking in a meeting with the director of Qatar's cultural township Ahmad Bin Rashid Al-Masnad, Sohrabi referred to the good political relations between the two countries, and said, "The pillars of friendship and intimacy between the two countries' peoples and officials will cause long strides in the development and expansion of relations in all arenas, specially in culture and art as two important areas."
He further viewed culture and art as two elements consolidating relations between the two countries, and urged Muslim countries to sketch out plans for confronting the West's cultural invasion of Islamic states, cautioning that the West's cultural onslaught aims to fade the Islamic identity of the Muslims, specially the youth.
Sohrabi referred to the selection of Doha as the cultural capital of the Arab world in 2010, and expressed Iran's readiness to present engineering and technical services and possibilities to Qatar.
Al-Masnad, for his part, termed Iran a great country, and underlined his country's readiness to further cooperation with Iran in the spheres of culture and art.
