Iran, Brazil Stress Expansion of Bilateral Cooperation

TEHRAN (FNA)-Iran's Supreme National Security Council Secretary Saeed Jalili called for expansion of south-south cooperation, saying that in the international scene, countries should not limit themselves to establish relations only with major powers.

In a meeting with Brazilian Deputy Foreign Minister Roberto Jaguaribe in Tehran, Jalili continued, "The era that certain countries regarded themselves as the international community and tried to impose their views to other states has passed."

Iran will not wait for the permission of other states to pursue progress and employ its legal rights, he was quoted by the Iranian students news agency as saying.

Roberto Jaguaribe for his part said his country is willing to expand ties with Iran.

He also highlighted employment of multilateral approaches to manage the world instead of current incomplete unilateral process.
