Turkish Foreign Minister Arrives in Tehran

TEHRAN (FNA)- Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu, heading a political delegation, arrived in Tehran Saturday morning to review issues of mutual interest with senior Iranian officials.

Prior to his departure from Ankara, he expressed hope that his visit to Tehran would be fruitful.

Expressing his satisfaction with his trip to Iran, he announced that he would visit the holy shrine of Imam Reza (AS), the eighth Imam of the infallible household of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH), located in the city of Mashhad northeastern Iran.

During his stay, the expansion of Tehran-Ankara relations as well as the latest regional and international developments will be reviewed by the Turkish delegation and Iranian officials, the Islamic republic news agency reported.

Davutoglu has already visited Syria, Iraq, Egypt and Jordan in the past two weeks.

The Turkish foreign minister is due to leave Tehran Sunday evening.
