"The Islamic Republic of Afghanistan has, thus far, been unable to supply its needed military equipment and has met its needs through foreign aids," Spokesman of the ministry Zahir Azim told FNA.
Azim further assured that not only Afghanistan but also its aiding countries have not purchased any military equipment for Kabul from Israel.
Pakistan's Observer reported on Friday that Afghanistan has signed a multi million dollar agreement with Israel to purchase armored vehicles and other military tools and equipment.
Referring to the claims raised by the Pakistani paper about meetings between Afghan and Israeli officials, Azim reiterated that the ministry officials have avoided visits to foreign countries lately, considering the special conditions prevailing over the war-torn country during election time.
Afghanistan experienced its second presidential election on Thursday since the US and its allies occupied the country several years ago.
