TEHRAN (FNA)- Iran's "About Eli", the latest project by Asghar Farhadi is to be screened in the competition line-up of Berlin Film Festival in Germany.
The 119-minute film will be shown in the third day of the event which is now in its 59th year and the first one among the year's major festivals in Europe.
According to the Iranian students news agency, the film tells the story of a man named Ahmad who returns home from Germany after many years to spend holidays in Iran. He has recently divorced his German wife and is willing to begin a new life with an Iranian woman.
His university classmates prepared a three-day trip to north of Iran for Ahmad and one of them Sepideh invites a girl named Eli to join them for the trip.
Ahmad's friends who became aware of his willingness for marriage, found the reason for Eli's invitation for the trip and start praising Eli. She suddenly disappears in the second day of trip and the group starts a search to find her.
The film will be screened in Berlinale once on Saturday, twice on Sunday and once on February 15th.
