TEHRAN (FNA)- Iranian Ambassador to Doha Abdollah Sohrabi held talks with Secretary General of Qatar National Olympic Committee in Doha.
During the meeting on Wednesday evening, Sohrabi said expansion of sports ties plays a vital role in fostering mutual friendship.
Referring to the huge sports plans which have been executed in Iran, the Iranian envoy voiced the Islamic Republic of Iran's willingness to share its valuable experiences and achievements with Qatar, the Islamic republic news agency reported.
He invited the Qatari government to make mutual investment in the fields of sport plans.
Sohrabi called for exchange of coaches and technical and vocational experiences in the fields of sports specially in the women's affairs.
Sohrabi further urged Qatari officials to help construct an Iranian sports complex in Qatar.
Sheikh Saoud Bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, for his part, expressed regret over the passenger plane crash which claimed several athletes' lives.
The Qatari official said his country is ready to hold preparation camp for Iranian athletes.
He also voiced his country's willingness to dispatch Qatari teams to Iran.
