"The US is spreading different rumors throughout the world in a bid to disturb and weaken the relations. Of course, such plots will yield no fruit but strengthening Iran-Venezuela relations," David Velasquez told reporters.
Emphasizing that friendly relations between Tehran and Caracas is against Washington's desires, Velasquez noted that connection and relations between Iranian resistance and that of Latin America have worried the US very much.
Initiating measures and solutions for steady and strong relations between the two countries and for the resolution of the world's current problems are on Venezuela's agenda, the envoy added.
Velasquez further pointed to the US hegemonic approach and efforts to hinder other countries' advancement, and warned, "Today, the US is seeking to establish another Israel in Colombia and the resistance shown by freedom-lovers can block the irrational ambitions of the country's leaders."
