Iran Ready to Fight Swine Flu Pandemic

TEHRAN (FNA)- Iranian health ministry declared readiness to fight swine flu pandemic by possessing enough anti-viral drug to cure swine flu patients.

"The drug has not been distributed in pharmacies around the country. However, distribution of the drug will begin when concerns of a pandemic arise," Iranian Deputy Health Minister, Rasoul Dinarvand said on Sunday.

He also reiterated that the medicine will be available for one million people when prescribed by physicians.

The ministry has also bought 1.5 million doses of seasonal flu vaccine to be used in fall, Dinarvand reiterated.
