Qatar Stresses Expansion of Ties with Iran

TEHRAN (FNA)- Qatari Minister of State for Internal Affairs Abdallah bin Nasir bin Khalifa al-Thani underlined his country's resolve to expand ties with the Islamic Republic of Iran.



Nasir bin Khalifa made the remarks in a meeting with Iranian Ambassador to Doha Abdollah Sohrabi on Monday, where the two sides discussed ways to develop and expand bilateral relations.

Sohrabi, for his part, stressed Iran's strong will to continue improving ties with Doha, and lauded the Qatari government's efforts to facilitate exchange of visits between Iran and Qatar.

In this meeting, the Qatari side agreed to facilitate issuing 14-day visas for Iranian accountants, managers, writers, artists, engineers, lecturers, attorneys, pilots who reside in one of the Persian Gulf Cooperation Council (PGCC) member states.

The Qatari side also agreed to take the necessary measures to pave the way for facilitated visits to his country by the Iranian citizens, specially tourists and businessmen.
