"A double-cockpit training plane owned by the pilot training center of the Islamic Republic of Iran's National Airline crashed at 8:55 local time (0525 GMT) and both the instructing pilot and the trainee were killed during the incident," Spokesman of Iran's Aviation Organization Reza Jafarzadeh told FNA.
Jafarzadeh said that after the incident, a number of experts were dispatched to the site of the crash in Mardabad of Karaj in the vicinity of Tehran.
He also added that investigations are underway into the cause of the incident.
