"OIC should try to settle the Palestinian issue by holding a meeting and avoid ignoring it," member of the parliament's National Security and Foreign Policy Commission Kazzam Jalali told FNA.
Jalali expressed concern to see that the OIC, "which has been established to support Muslims' rights in the world and (the rights of the ) Palestinian people", has kept mum over the Israelis' aggression against the Al-Aqsa mosque and is passing these critical days with negligence.
He also criticized certain Arab leaders for their silence over the Palestinian problems, and accused them of having secret interactions with the Israeli regime.
Referring to the Islamic Republic of Iran's stance on Palestine, Jalali reiterated Tehran's support for the Palestinians, saying it is obvious that Iran is one of the main supporters of Palestinian people.
He made the remarks in reference to the recent aggression of the Zionist regime against the Palestinian people and Israeli claims that the Al-Aqsa mosque is built in the site of Solomon's temple. Israel has said that it plans to rebuild the temple again, which, archeologists and construction engineers believe, would pose a great danger to the mosque.
