Iran Views Occupation Major Impediment to Iraq's Security

TEHRAN (FNA)- Iran's Supreme National Security Council (SNSC) Secretary Saeed Jalili said Tehran believes that the occupation of Iraq is a major obstacle to the establishment of security in the war-shattered Muslim country.

Speaking in a meeting with Head of Supreme Islamic Iraqi Council (SIIC) Ammar Hakim here in Tehran, Jalili described the withdrawal of occupying forces from Iraq as a way to progress and development of the war-hit country.

He also announced Iran's seriousness in supporting solidarity and democracy in Iraq.

During the meeting, Hakim stressed that SIIC spares no efforts to help to the promotion of solidarity in Iraq.
